My 14mo DS has PA. That is his only known allergy. We took him to the allergist today to see what might be causing his respiratory illnesses. The allergist wants me to restrict his diet to only 10 items and then do allergy testing. He thinks his illness may be caused from food allergies. Has anyone had any experience with this issue? I have no reason to believe he has any other food allergy. No other symptoms. I feel this may be a little extreme.

Any advice or experience is appreciated.

Respiratory illnesses can be a side effect of medications. Has he taken any? There is no harm in limiting his diet. Foods can cause all kinds of problems. Better to be safe. Recommend you follow the allergist's advice.
