How To Choose A Healthy Peanut Butter Alternative

You already know that if you or your child has a peanut allergy you need to avoid peanut butter. Some allergists recommend that you avoid all nuts if you are allergic to peanuts, but you may be able to eat almond butter and cashew butter. This spread is also similar to peanut butter, but it does not have as much protein like peanut butter or almond butter. It does have higher levels of magnesium, which is required by the human body for bone and heart functioning.

Soy Butter

Soy butter is another spread that can be substituted for peanut butter. It is a complete protein and has other nutrients that are similar to other nut butters. Soy butter contains less total and saturated fat than peanut butter.
