There is one thing that is on

There is one thing that is on this list that I am not sure should be on there. The regular size plain Hershey candy bars have on the packaging, made or processed in a plant where nuts are present. We have avoided these products with that warning with our son because of the potential for cross contamination.

Interesting-I have not seen that warning on those Hershey bars. They do warn to read every single package, so maybe the ones I picked up were made in a different factory than the ones you have seen? We used them over the summer for s'mores...

It really depends upon the allergy/allergies.

If peanuts are only an issue-there are lots of companies that cater to the peanut allergy and allergy community.

Vermont nut free is one of them. Enjoy Life just came out with a new rice milk choc bar that is awesome and free of the top 8 allergens.

I believe all of Tootsie's

I believe all of Tootsie's candies are acceptable for peanut allergy, but recommend you double check with Tootsie customer service or the website to verify this as manufacturing processes change constantly.

Plain hersheys chocolate bars

Plain hersheys chocolate bars are made in their own facility and do not have a may contain warning either. I am 22 years old and have been allergic to peanuts and treenuts all my life and plain hershy bars a life saver!
