Hi Heather,

My personal opinion is that any reaction to the RAST test should be considered. Your allergist's opinion on the severity of the allergy and what precautions to take should guide you.

My son's test results indicate moderate allergy. However, our experience shows that he is extremely sensitive to skin contact and ingestion. Our allergist does not put much weight in the numbers and levels of the allergy test results. It is safest to follow your allergist's advice, however, since every person's experience is unique.

There is a learning curve with peanut allergy, but you'll become an expert in no time!

Thank you so much for the responses. We can't get into the ped allergiest untill march. our ped doc says to stay away from peanuts completly. so I was worried about all the peanuts versuses contaminated stuff. like things that may contain peanuts? I was freaked out by what to limit at this point. you all have been very healpful thanks so much.
