Actor Ben Affleck uses Peanut Allergy Analogy

Actor Ben Affleck has had a roller coaster of a career starring in memorable movies like "Good Will Hunting" to not so memorable movies such as "Gigli".

While his acting partner and good friend in Good Will Hunting, Matt Damon, waited for interesting and unique roles; Affleck seemed to have a part in every movie released - good or bad.

When interviewed recently about his new movie "The Town", he talks about his desire to do more meaningful films and uses a peanut allergy analogy to make his point.

“I did plenty of movies that felt like pure commerce, like just a piece of business,” he admits. “I have no tolerance for that now. It’s like where you go all your life eating peanut butter sandwiches and suddenly you develop a peanut allergy? That’s where I am right now. It’s like I’m allergic to those sorts of movies”

There have been rumors that Affleck and Garner's daughter has peanut allergies, but those rumors have remained unconfirmed.

Affleck's new movie "The Town" will premier in theaters this Friday.

I keep wondering if there are

I keep wondering if there are any celebrities whose kids have peanut allergies. It would be wonderful to have a public voice like that, but no one has stepped up yet.

I've "searched" too. I know

I've "searched" too. I know there are a few celebrities who have peanut allergies. Most don't want anyone to know as it would put them at a greater risk of others possibly causing them harm. I understand but wish someone "famous" would make a stand or be the voice for others with food allergies. I read the FAAN (Walk) article on Trace Adkins daughter's food allergies. I'v shared that info with my daughter too.
