Lynn Doyle, journalist and philanthropist, named honorary chair for KFA event
Kids With Food Allergies (KFA) has announced that Lynn Doyle has been named honorary chair for the organization's 5th Annual Strides for Safe Kids Mall Walk and Expo. The walk will be held Sunday, September 8 at the Plymouth Meeting Mall in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
Doyle is an award-winning journalist, television producer and philanthropist, and host of It's Your Call with Lynn Doyle. KFA is a division of the leading allergy and asthma charity, Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA).
The event is an annual bazaar that centers around a walk to raise funds for food allergy awareness. It begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 1 p.m. at the Plymouth Meeting Mall, with activities such as musical entertainment, special guests and activities that culminate in a walk around the historic mall as sponsors donate funds to the cause.
“KFA serves a critical role in educating and supporting families raising children with food allergies, and this event helps to raise funds and awareness about this important cause while having a lot of fun,” said Doyle in an announcement. “Supporting worthy charities is one of my personal priorities. I am proud to be appointed as chair of this year’s event.”
More information about the walk can be found at strides4safekids.org.
KFA was founded in 2005 as an extension of AAFA, which was founded in 1953. AAFA is now the oldest and largest nonprofit patient organization for asthma, allergies and related conditions.
