We went to Lowe's today and I wanted to buy some wildflower seed mixtures--you know those big 'shaker jar' type containers?--well, I just happened to be reading thru the 'ingredients'to see what the individual flower seeds were -and in larger-than-other print, there was a big warning saying 'CONTAINS GROUND PEANUT HULLS' !!!
I can't remember the exact manufacturer's name (I was so upset!) but it was 'Valley' something...
Obviously, I won't be planting wildflowers right now--but big thumbs down to them for using peanut hulls--but a bigger thumbs UP to post the information on the container!
Take care,
Lisa
Wow! You would think they could use something else -- why peanut hulls!!!!! But, yes, I do think it is great that it was on the container. Another unexpected place to find peanuts!
