Hi Everyone. I'm a stay-at-home dad to my wonderful 21 month old twins - 1 of each. ;) The lil boy, Danny, was just diagnosed with a peanut allergy. I'm pretty crushed and stressed but I know its not that horrible ... its just going to take a good deal of vigilance and precaution to keep him as healthy as possible. Being a diabetic for most of my life I'm used to reading labels and carrying emergency kits with me when I'm out and about so I won't even give that a second thought ... its already etched in my memory.
But ... I was so looking forward to the 2 year mark so I could pass on the tradition of dunking peanut butter toast in milk for breakfast. Its time for new traditions as we make sure our environment is peanut free.
I look forward to reading and learning from you all on this journey.

Hi,
I am a mother of two boys. My four yr old son has a severe peanut allery and it took me awhile to get used to all the stuff I had to do. Now it is somewhat easier and i will do anything to keep him safe from anything that cause his reaction . He was diagnosed when he was a year old. (that was so scary and upsetting) So I understand how you are feeling. Nothing is ever easy but we do it because we love our kids.
