Hello! My daughter went to ER at 18 months when she tried some peanut butter. We did blood work twice when she was 3 and 2 weeks ago. It seems getting worse and she can unlikely to grow out of it according to the allergist. The allergist also suggests to avoid all kinds of nuts since they tend to be processed in the same place. Now we check labels and ingredient information on any food she eats.
Welcome to peanutallergy.com LauraGrace! Glad you found the site.
My son also has peanut allergy. He is now 6 and we just did blood work and are going in for skin prick soon.
While it's true that some individuals may never outgrow...some do even at high levels so have faith.
My son was a 97 or so rast and is now down...I get the lab results in a few weeks.
Also, you can eat tree nuts you have to shell yourself and there are some tree nuts made in dedicated facilities if you think you'd like to try.
Again-welcome!
Ruth
