Mother of a son with peanut allergy

Hello! My son is allergic to peanuts & eggs. We first found out he was allergic when he was 11 months old and my mother in law gave him a "nutter butter" cookie. Have to say, it was a very frightening experience. My son is now 2, almost 3 years old and we have tried our best to keep him safe. I find that on top of the allergy, getting people to understand how severe and serious the allergy is, is just as difficult as the allergy itself. Glad I joined the group and can have people understand me!!
