UNDECLARED PEANUT IN HAITAI BRAND HARMONS CHEESE COOKIES
(SafetyAlerts) - RHEE BROS. INC. of Columbia, MD, is recalling its 2.89-ounce packages of 'Haitai' brand 'Harmons Cheese Cookies' because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled 'Haitai' brand 'Harmons Cheese Cookies' ware distributed in retail stores on the east coast. The product comes in 2.89-ounce cardboard box labeled as 'Haitai' and 'Harmons Cheese Cookies'. The code on the package is 09590K.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after sampling by 'New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets' food inspectors discovered that the peanut-containing product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of peanut ingredient.

Consumers who have purchased 2.89-ounce packages of 'Haitai' brand 'Harmons Cheese Cookies' are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-410-381-9000.
