I've just stumbled across a website for ordering peanut-free Canadian sweets called Peanut-free Planet. The web site is www.peanutfreeplanet.com (the URL has now been edited to hopefully work, w/o the period at the end). They sell items from the Nestle line of PN-free candies and Quaker PN-Free choc. chip granola bars. They appear to be located in Indiana. Anyone heard of them before or ordered from them? I couldn't find any previous posts about them when I did a search.

Janet

Edited on 11/30 to get an extra period out of the website hyperlink. Thanks Dulcinea for noticing that ! I hope the editing works - this is my first edited post !

I just spoke with them. They're only about a month in business and started it because of a friend whose child is PA. They tried to find safe foods for the child but had difficulty.

DD is 10 and just barely believing in Santa. She will now that I can get her kit kats!!!

I just went to their website and am thinking about buying the Quaker chewy granola bars. Do you know if I can find these same peanut-free Quaker bars at the grocery store (US), though, and thus avoid paying for shipping?

Janet, you accidentally typed a period after the word planet so the link doesn't work. I found the website by typing www.peanutfreeplanet.com directly into my address bar. Maybe you can revise your post?

Thanks Dulcinea for figuring out that the URL was messed up! I've edited the post, so hopefully it will work now.

The granola bars are what really got my attention on this site. I don't think they are available in the US through stores at all. I wonder how these folks in Indiana are getting them. Maybe they have a friend in Canada.

Is it a secure site? What payment options do they offer - does anyone know?

Hi,

This Brian from Peanut Free Planet. We have received a lot of response since my wife and I started this company and we are happy to serve the peanut free market. We currently accept Mastercard and Visa and we are waiting for our Discover and American Express authorization codes. We expect to have these very soon. Please let me know if I may provide further assistance.

I just received a package from them; speedy fast delivery, and I do not know of another way to get the Quaker granola bars. I hope they do well!

I hope that it works. I just ordered a box of the chocolate chip bars. My son loves these (my parents brought some back on a trip to Canada last summer).

I look forward to getting them. Yeah, it's a bit pricy especially when you add the shipping costs but I don't know any other way to get it aside from going to Canada and bringing it back myself!

This looks like an interesting site--are the ingredients for the granola bars listed anywhere?
