I was looking for peanut free floavorings and found this site... http://www.allergygrocery.com/Merchant2/...anuts+xtreenuts
Maybe everyone else already knows about it... but I was thrilled with the search by peanut free! First my Vermont Nut-Free candy corn and now all this... good week in our house.

Just be careful-some of their foods will be in the nut free category but if you read the page for the food it will say something like 'shared facility-manufacturer does not guarantee it will be free from cross contamination' or something like that. They do seem to state whether foods are in shared facilities at least.

Ditto, just note that peanut free does not necessarily mean 'peanut safe'. I think for the most part they just go by the label. But I've never purchased there so don't take my word for it. I just hink this was the same website were I remember finding candy flavoring oils on there that said 'peanut safe' but on contacting the company was told NOT to use their product. Luvmyboys
LindalovesA--Thank you for posting this site! My dd was dx in 98 and we are always looking for new products. I had not heard of that site yet.
I clicked on some of the products and not only were they labeled for dedicated Nut Free plants but some were free of all 8 allergens!
I plan on spending ALOT more time looking through this site...Thank you.
Let me know what you think about any of the products you try!

10 yo dd- PA,TNA, tests pos to soy, CATS, many environmentals, Asthmatic
5 yo dd- NKA, avoiding nuts
3 yo dd- outgrown milk/soy, avoiding nuts
What products on the website are actually peanut-safe rather than just peanut-free?
Don't forget to check your labels after buying products you've bought before.
We used to use the Glutino brown gravy mix for my son. Great taste and we all loved it. My wife ordered some last time and the package changed. It is now labeled : may contain traces of milk, egg, sesame and fish.
The CSR my wife called back was rude. Her supervisor was not. Refunded our credit card but please, please be careful ordering from them and anyone else.

The puddings on that page said it was on peanut free lines, but that the manufacturer didn't guarantee they would be free from cross contamination. Some companies take extra measures to ensure cross contamination doesn't happen within a shared facility and some may not.

today my 16 yr old PA son remarked as he opened the Vermont Nut Free package with Skippers..."isn't it funny that they use packing Peanuts in the nut free chocolate box....."!
I know this is not directly relate to the topic but you did mention Vermont Nut Free!
