I've never heard of Sweet Tomatoes; however, we do have a Golen Corral in our area that we go to. BUT, they are not PA safe. They use an oil blend for all of their fried foods that has peanut oil in it. It is some type of blend that is vegetable, canola, and peanut oil. The percentage of peanut oil in the blend is small but I still don't risk it with my son. He stays away from anything fried and sticks with the roasted meats and the vegetables. They also have chopped peanuts on their ice cream bar which is shared with some of the cobblers and cakes. Therefore, my son gets none of these. But he finds enough for him to keep him satisfied.

My pa son loves Sweet Tomatoes. We go a couple of times a month. He doesn't eat anything off the dessert/fruit bar because of the loose peanuts used as topping for the frozen yogurt. He does eat the frozen yogurt itself. He mostly eats the pizza, chicken noodle soup or plain pasta. He's not big on any salad type food. If you like salads, I'd be really careful. It seems they have a lot of Asian type prepared salads, but the fresh veggies for salad always look great.

We eat at Sweet Tomatoes and have not any problems. We spoke to the manager who checked for us and told us not to eat the Won-Ton salad. Of course we stayed away from the ice cream bar. Everything else was fine.

I don't know if Tsing Wa (Chinese) is a chain restaurant but they told me that they do not use peanuts or peanut oil.We have eaten there several times without any reactions.

I have eaten one or 2 times at sweet tomatos with my child. He won't eat salad so usually has cheese bread, etc. There are peanut items in the salad bar/dessert bar. We stay away from those items, esp. chinese chicken salad. Can't seem to convince my child not to drag his face, hands, etc and body across counters, as we go through the line, so am not going back till he can hold himself still.

Tonight he was licking the bottom of a table in a restuarant. He just can't make the connection that these actions are stupid, even for a bored 5 year old. Very annoying and rude to boot, besides hazardous to him. Why can't my kid sit still and quiet!!

Golden Corral is my p.a. child's favorite restaurant. The one we go to does not use a blend with peanut oil. Believe it was soybean. She does not eat the "high risk" foods (especially desserts - except for the vanilla ice cream). I always ask before she eats something that has been fried and/or breaded (look at the ingredient label and check the oil). I know franchises strive to be consistent but they can vary. I always ask no matter how many times we have eaten there in the past because suppliers can change overnight.
