Soy Flour in Twinkies and ALL Hostess Cakes

I can't believe it...now TWINKIES....fricken TWINKIES have soy flour in them!!! And not only that, but ALL the Hostess snack cakes!
They all have soy flour now!
My girls are so upset! They will never be able to eat any of that stuff ever again!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The ones here have had soy in them for a while. It really seems as if soy is in everything these days. Almost all bread has it too.

...and now, Krispy Kreme donuts, too. I can't believe that soy flour is now in Krispy Kremes!

Krispy Kremes have have soy for *years*. I had to give them up back when my soy allergy exploded in 1999. Pretty sure Twinkies were out then, too, but I may have not been eating those for other reasons (lard).

Hmmmm...I don't know....my kids were eating Krispy Kremes for years and I don't remember soy flour being an ingredient the last time I bought them (which was about 6 months ago). I always read labels, so this was a total surprise for me.

I can believe it.
The soy flour and oil is CHEAP!!
That's why they are using it.
Soybean farms are being subsidized.
Restaurants, take out, bakeries... they all can get soybean oil and soy flour cheaper.
It is really discouraging.

All crops are subsidized. Corn, wheat, etc as well as soybeans. Believe me, farming is not a lucrative profession.
