I have just posted this under 'Manufacturers' but think that perhaps it belongs here - sorry

Does anyone know of a safe shaving cream for my teenage son? I have e-mailed the makers of Skintimate, SC Johnson, firstly on June 9th, and received the following reply:

Dear _________,

Thank you for your recent email regarding SKINTIMATE

I researched and researched this and there are NO safe shaving creams!!!!!! I called the FAAN for ideas and they had none. My hubby used to use Aveeno baby shampoo but he now uses Free and Clear Vanicream hair conditioner. We order this and there are some threads on it. I called them and they said some men use this product to shave. He is not PA but my DD is so we have nothing questionable in the house that I know of.... Good luck and if you find one please post.

If you can't find a safe shaving cream, see if you can find a safe hair conditioner and use that instead. I use conditioner for shaving my legs and armpits and it works really well.

Thanks for all the tips - I'll look around and see what I can find. Someone on another forum suggested Neutrogena Fragrance Free Rain Bath.
