Hi everyone
We just got back from vacation in Calgary and during the trip was my PA daughter's birthday. Here at home I make peanut and egg free cakes, but I found myself looking for a safe bakery to purchase a cake from. So, if you are in the Calgary area, there is a kosher bakery at 2515 90 Ave SW which uses no nuts, peanuts nor milk in their products (unfortunately I was out of luck for the eggs, but hey it wasn't my son's birthday and he never eats the cake anyway). The bakery is listed in the phone book as Sue's Kosher Bakery but is actually now named Toby's Kosher Bakery. The cake was excellent - one of the things I really liked is that they use a thin layer of higher quality frosting instead of the 1 inch of cream icing that Safeway seems to use. They also throw in the candles for free if you buy a cake.
Enjoy!!
