I was shopping at Target today and noticed a new bag of Rold Gold pretzels. Its a chocolate covered type, and the label said contains: wheat, milk, soy. And processed on equipment with peanuts and tree nuts!!

UGH. We live on Rold Gold pretzels here. I haven't contacted them yet, but hope that these are only a seasonal thing and hopefully they are made in another facility.

Has anyone else seen these or have any info?

Thanks!

I haven't seen this yet. I'm hoping the only 2 Rold Gold prezels my son can have (because they have no sunflower oil) are still o.k.

Ugh--this is on my list of "safe snacks" and a product we often buy. I hope they are made in a separate facility!
I guess I'll be making another manufacturer phone call tomorrow.

I'd be interested in what anyone finds out - I haven't seen these. We avoid Snyder's because of their pb filled pretzel. We love Rold Gold's! I'd hate to lose them -

from Frito Lay's website:

under a heading:

"Products That May Contain Peanuts or Tree Nuts

ROLD GOLD

I haven't seen this product, or called about it. But I would guess that the pretzels are covered with chocolate at a separate facility, since that is not the kind of process they typically do at the regular facility. I do trust Frito-Lay's labeling, though, so I won't worry about cross-contamination of other products unless I see them start to label for it.
