Did I read on here that Rita's ice cream is safe for PA? I just saw one being built a couple of miles from my house. Oh how I hope. Please let me know.
Thanks
Nancy

This is what comes up on their website:

Do Rita's products contain peanut/tree nuts or peanut oil?

Our products do not contain any peanut or tree nuts. We have also asked all of our suppliers whether or not their products contain or are manufactured on a line that handles nuts. To our knowledge the raw ingredients that we use to manufacture our products are free of any peanut or tree nuts. We do sell a regional flavor called Pistachio in New York, North Jersey and Connecticut. We do not use any real pistachios or oils during the production of this flavor.

This is in our comfort zone. We just have not made it there yet.

Our Rita's closes for the winter months- not sure if they all do or if it depends on where you live. We haven't tried it yet either- but plan to soon!

There isn't one near us, but there is one right by my MIL. We tried it a few months ago. It was DELICIOUS! Soft ice cream, but the really rich kind I haven't had since I was a kid (and even then it was hard to find).
BTW, we went because of what I had read here and on the Rita's site.

Well after this we finally went tonight.

No problems at all. The custard is really smooth and creamy. All 3 kids were really excited!!

Closes in 5 days for the winter. Hmmmm....how many times can we go before that?!?!?

I was in our local Giant food store and saw "Rita's Squeezers"- they were fruit and custard push up type pops/ice cream. I haven't seen anything on their website indicating they are selling in stores now- but it is listed as "Rita
