My daughter had what might have been a reaction today- it was about 1 1/2 hours after taking her morning dose of zyrtec- so it might have been worse if we didn't have that. She had one hive on her cheek and redness under her eyes. My question is how do the eyes normally look during a reaction- would have either been contact or airborne.
She had what started out looking like red eye liner under her eyes- then they got red "half moons" under them where her allergic shiners usually are. No redness to the white part. The only other explanation I have is it was extremely windy/cold wind and we had just came from outside and her seasonal allergies have been bad. Any advice?
DS gets red all around his eyes when he is having a reaction. I had it the other day too, don't know what it was but it was more prominent in one eye than the other, and one eye was itchier than the other.
Were your DD eyes itchy at all?

Thanks for the responses! She didn't complain about her eyes at all- I even asked-although she never complains about anything- in fact we are at the stage where sometimes I know something is bothering her and she will say "I feel fine"- hate that when trying to watch for a reaction! Her eyes were equally red- no watering; no apparent itching or swelling- and it quickly disappeared within about 5 minutes. Probably another mystery reaction/ or the harsh wind!
My sons eyes sometimes get red and itchy for no reason that we can see. We will be at home where there are no allergens and it will happen. It will go away on its own. I just always think it is because he is tired.
