Hi Chris,

How did the radio show go?

Were people allowed to call in and ask questions about peanut allergy while you were on the air?

How was the feedback from the general public?

Stay safe.

The show treated us well and they even sent a copy of the segment on a cassette for us to use on the web site. We had requested permission and a tape when they called earlier that morning and are very appreciative for their help.

They had planned on about 15 minutes for peanut allergy but they were running late and we only had a few minutes. They told us they might revisit peanut allergy again and they apologized for the short amount of time. We, of course, are always happy to get the word out about peanut allergy. One of the hosts whom I spoke with on the air, knew someone with a peanut allergy and I think that helps others who are listening to have some compassion and take the information they are hearing more seriously. I however was not having my best day, (this happens) I didn't really answer one of the questions well (which one of the hosts asked) and my voice was not well modulated. Probably due to needing more rest, it has been a very busy time here running and working on so many important projects etc.. Knowing how little time I had to speak because the show was almost over also helped to build some anxiety while I waited on hold, watching the time tick by. Usually this doesn't effect me too much, I have done TV, radio, newspapers etc., but we all have our off days. Yesterday (the day after this show) I was on a talk radio show in the Boston, MA area. One of the hosts of this show had heard of peanut allergy also. He even brought up one of the recent deaths which he was aware of.

We have already started hearing from people in California with peanut allergy who heard the show and contacted us through the PeanutAllergy.Com website, and I am sure it helped to educate about peanut allergy that day in California, so we are very happy the show did this segment about peanut allergy.

The modulation on the tape did not come out very well, so we will have to test and work on it to see if the audio will work on the web site.
