I cannot believe what I heard while driving my pa child to school today. The commercial was for United Bank of California. The theme of the commercial is that the guy likes to get things for free. Maybe they were getting to the topic of a free checking account or something, I was so stunned by what I heard that I missed what it was they were advertising. The commercial starts by a guy saying that he likes to get things for free, and he tells some story about getting free peanuts, and then says he is allergic to peanuts but since they are free he eats them anyhow. Talk about not taking pa seriously!!! Plus my seven year old heard it, and she is so good about only eating her own food, the last thing she needs to hear is that someone who is allergic to peanuts eats them anyhow and doesn`t get sick. I am so outraged to hear a commercial undermine our efforts to get people to take pa seriously. I wonder who I could write to at this bank to get this taken off the air. Any comments?
Write to their CEO, Marketing Director and Advertising Manager. Also, if you can, find out who their ad agency is. I'm sure lots of people will take pleasure in blasting them.

Complain, complain, complain,---- and it won't hurt to mention that if any child is harmed because of their ad, they may be liable.
I went online and found the phone number of their VP of Marketing. I left a voice mail six hours ago and she didn`t return my call. I didn`t say what it was about. We`ll see what happens.

Perhaps if you recall the specific radio station, you could call them and ask about this bank ad. Ask them for a number for the bank etc. If I heard this in our area, I would be hot on the phone to give them a 'suggestion' from their listening public!
Thanks for sharing.
