Looks like the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Trade Bureau is looking to catch up with the allergen labeling trend.
Right now, alcohol does not need to be labeled for allergen - in fact, it doesn't require labeling for all the ingredients themselves.
They are proposing a mandatory labeling requirement that mirrors FALCPA, with all the pros and cons. The will only label for the "big eight", and they will not label for "refined oils". However, they will label for processing aids. They also have a separate petition process for exempting labeling that is specific to alchol.
Looks like there is general support for this type of labeling, so I think it will go through no problem:

The last time I drank beer, I had a very itchy reaction. I am not allergic to wheat or yeast.
But I did find through research on the internet, that there is a legume used in making the beer foam.
So, no more beer for me.

I have been afraid to order a chocolate martini (used to be my favorite) since I had been diagnosed soy and nut allergic. Anyone have any info on choc liquor?

Thanks for posting. I don't know if I'll let my 18 year old know about this (he's got multiple life threatening allergies and is wondering about beer . . . .)
