May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. If you suffer from asthma or allergies, please take an active roll in educating your community about your asthma or allergies. The theme for 2006 is "Indoor Allergies and Allergen Avoidance".
World Asthma Day is May 2, 2006. Plan activities in your community that will highlight asthma awareness. Start by identifying and addressing the "unmet needs of asthma" and explain the importance of achieving asthma control. Visit the Global Initiative for Asthma Web site for ideas on how you can get involved.

Food Allergy and Awareness Week is May 14 - 20, 2006. The theme for 2006 is "New Tools, New Laws, New Hope". Visit the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network Web site to discover ways you can spread the word about Food Allergy Awareness Week.
