I meet my Dad a couple of nights a week at this restaurant for a glass of wine. I've spoken to the general manager several times, but this evening I talked to him at length about the restaurant's 'allergy awareness'. They have gluten-free pizza (though there is a disclaimer on the menu)....and though the restaurant is not peanut-free, they are very allergy aware. The general manager is anaphylactic to bell peppers and is a former paramedic
so doesn't take food allergies lightly.
Keep in mind there is an item on the menu with peanut sauce.
I have eaten there as well. They told me that they are very allergy aware. I did not get sick, but I was very uncomfortable. Plus, my pizza was gross (I'm originally from Jersey, so I know good pizza). I would not eat there again.

I'm going to retract my recommendation for this restaurant (Picazzo in Sedona, Arizona). I ate there last night - shrimp scampi pizza. Again, I talked to the manager and showed him my chef card....he said, 'no problem'. But I had mild nausea that hit about an hour after eating. It feels very familiar....this would happen a lot prior to PA diagnosis so I'm willing to bet it was a mild reaction. The restaurant does serve pizza with peanut sauce but the manager said there was no chance of cross-contamination.
Took a benedryl and waited with my fingers crossed.
Fortunately, the nausea was gone by midnight.
