I live in Montgomery County, MD and I'm having a hard time finding PA-friendly restaurants. I'd love to do more than eat at select fast-food places! I'm interested in finding restaurants in Montgomery County, MD, but also in nearby DC and Northern Virginia. Thanks!

I'm in your neighboring county of Prince George's. I've found Buddy's (in Laurel and in Annapolis) to be safe and very kid-friendly...no desserts, though.
Sorry, can't help with Montgomery County, DC or Northern VA. Since we're also dealing with sesame seed allergy, it's really hard for us to eat out--even fast food!
I'm in Northern Virginia. Clyde's is safe. Ledo pizza is safe. McCormick and Schmicks is also allergy aware. We've also eaten at the Old Hickory Grill in Burtonsville (in-laws live in Leisure World) without a problem. We've also eaten at Sweetwater Tavern. There's a great burrito place in Herndon, Teocalli Tamale.
I'm also in Montgomery County and we don't eat out much. But we have eaten at Mama Luccia's in Silver Spring w/o problem, and they claim to be peanut free (though I have seen PB gelato there in the past). And we've eaten at That's Amore on Shady Grove Rd. The manager there was extremely helpful and took the allergy very seriously.
I grew up in Montgomery County. Legal Seafood's (there is one in Montgomery Mall) is very allergy aware. There are others- Tysons Corner and scattered on the east coast. It gets very busy. Call for a reservation.
We ate at the Dubliner and Pizzeria Uno when in DC.

I live in Montgomery County too! My 3 yr old is touch allergic to peanut and we have eaten out many places with him without problems. We've been to several mexican places (like On the Border), Silver Diner, Red Robin, Baja Fresh and a kebob restaurant on Rockville Pike. We've also eaten at the Hard Times chili restaurant in Bethesda (that one does NOT put peanuts in the veggie chili - they server PB & J as a kids meal but they've been very careful with out food requests). Most of the chain restaurants have been fine.
Since he is only 3 years old his dining needs are pretty simple when we go out (usually noodles, hot dogs, etc.). If there is any type of food you are particularly interested in let me know.

I see this is an old post but have you visited any more PA friendly restaurants lately? I am trying to keep a list of safe places. Tried anything in bethesda lately?
We ate at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse last night, and I had an opportunity to speak with one of the chefs. This is a chain, and I think there are lots of chains with this name, but this one has several restaurants in the VA/MD/WV area, and one (ours) in Grand Rapids, MI. Anyway, we were really impressed by the chef we spoke with. He came out to MI from the Manassas location, and really seemed to know a lot about the food. We were assured the place is peanut/nut free, just don't try the cheesecake since it isn't made fresh (we don't do desserts, anyway). I felt comfortable, and would take DS there, if anyone's interested and has one in the area. Great food and fun experience, too.
