This just ticks me off for some reason. In the past, winning recipes have shown up everywhere and the last thing I want to see everywhere is a peanut butter cookies everywhere.

Believe me, I know I'm being unreasonable but it's just the most deadly concoction you can imagine - roasted peanuts, peanut butter and peanut butter cookie dough.

I was cheering for another contestant and I'm disappointed to see her lose as it is - this was just salt in the wound.

Oh well, I just had to get that off my chest. It really doesn't affect our daily lives in any way.

Unreasonable for you to think this? Maybe so. My advice would be: don't waste your energy on that sort of anger. Like you said, it doesn't affect your everyday day life.

As I said, it was just spur of the moment vent. I realize it's not deadly to people who aren't allergic (duh!!) but this is a peanut allergy board, is it not? I just thought it was ironic that there I was hoping someone I knew was going to win and this is what pops up on the screen. I thought people here might understand but I guess not.

Not that there are many people here anymore.

PAMomInPA, I can hear your frustration and I sympathize. I too think this way when I hear these things. Peanuts everywhere! I know many who feel this way also. Its like we are bombarded with peanuts and although a lot don't have to worry, to us its just another possible obstacle to a safe world with pa.

I hear ya! I find myself getting frustrated over these types of things too, mostly just because it seems odd sometimes that so many people can be oblivious to allergies.

My playgroup recently had a special playgroup at the public library (today actually) to celebrate peanut butter and jelly day and even though they were supposed to be in a seperate room at the library they will be reading books, etc... and all I can think of is that I won't be going to that library anymore!

I KNOW that there are people who are not allergic and I KNOW that they simply just don't think about these sorts of things, but at the same time I feel like they kind of just ruined going to the library for us...ARG!

Pretty cool that you knew the other contestant.

You called yourself unreasonable in this matter. I was just agreeing with you... to some extent. I'm sorry if I didn't offer you something you were searching for.

Are you mad because I agreed with you? Your comments about 'this is what pops up' have me confused. (emphasis mine)
