Just great! I was in the grocery store and I see p.b. slices individually wrapped...right next to the american cheese slices! What else is next!!! Geez!!! I thought the p.b. in the tube was gross! YUCK! Just another thing to worry about!
attentive mommy
I find it gross as well, but actually, it might be less messy.
I am also disgusted by the squeeze tubes(if you have yet to discover those) of PB. I can see the gobs all over with little kids. Yuck. becca

I heard about/ and saw them in my area alot during back to school time, but don't see them now. Maybe the stores found they were not popular?
Before my home became peanut free, I actually bought these for my non PA son , thinking it would eliminate the jar of pb and knife, and mess. You just unwrap it and put it on bread.
It kind of has the texture of a fruit roll-up and there really was no mess (unlike the squeeze tube, IM sure). Would have worked except he didnt like them, and they ended up in the garbage.
I cant imagine they will be around too long.
I think I've seen pb in squeeze jars, but not sure.
Both of my children love cheese. I don't know how many bricks of cheese we go through in a month. They have both tried and detest cheese slices and also Cheese Whiz. I wonder if it's the same thing with the pb slices.
An aside about the cheese. Always give them cheese in their lunches. Cut it to go with their crackers or cut it in strips. Often times find it comes back home with them. Look at the Cheestrings things and think I'm not paying THAT price for that little cheese. And what's the big fuss about?
But decide to try them for school for the kids to see if there will be more cheese eaten at school. And darned if they aren't eating them every single day. The novelty has not worn off. So despite the price increase, I'm wasting less cheese. Very surprised.
Looked at the store brand version of Cheestrings and they're not. They're just cut up sticks of cheese like I have provided the kids with before. So have to go with the *real* thing. Okay.
Parmaesan cheese. Never buy Kraft in the plastic container. Was buying it in the deli in the little plastic containers where it's been relatively recently grated and has an expiry date, yadda yadda. Then, Jesse was asking me about parmaesan cheese, what it looked like before grating, etc. and I decided to buy an actual wedge of parmaesan cheese. Do you know that the wedge is actually cheaper to buy and grate yourself than the pre-grated stuff? Probably makes sense to most people but I thought the price would work out to be about the same.
What does this have to do with pb slices? Nothing except that maybe "there's nothing like the *real* thing, baby".
Gross for us when it comes to pb, not for me when it comes to cheese (the *real* thing I mean as opposed to slices).
Oh, even tried the Swiss cheese slices like the regular cheese slices because I find the price of sliced Swiss cheese at the deli to be outrageous. It was horrible stuff as well, IMHO, and I decided I'm either buying the *real* thing or my sammie isn't having Swiss cheese on it.
Good heavens almighty, did someone not ban this woman after she lost her mind on the board earlier to-day? That was hours ago and she's still posting!

It kind of reminds me of the peanut butter sandwiches they give us at the free lunch thing at the park during the summer. After being refrigerated, you could peel the peanut butter off in one piece. Kind of freakish.

opahhhh, welcome!
I have heard of these, only on this website, but I have yet to actually physically see them, perhaps because I'm in Canada.
But yes, that beloved pb is now available in slice form!
Best wishes!
