We ordered pizza to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary yesterday. We called East of Chicago and asked the manager if they used peanut oil in their pizza or did they have nut products on premises (trying to rule out Hawaiian pizza). They told us no they do not have any nut products. Shortly after eating 2 slices of pizza I started breaking out in hives. I took some benadryl and they slowly went away. Today I mentioned to a co-worker what happened and she told me they have PB&J pizza!!!!! I called the store and asked to speak to the manager, not the same manager as the night before. He confirmed the do have this type of pizza. I asked why they told me they had no nuts on premises and he had no answer. I'm going to fire off a letter to the CEO and request they better train their managers that when someone asks if they have nuts the response should be peanut butter. I am so mad because I thought I had done the appropriate things to keep myself and it backfired. I had NEVER heard of pb&j pizza but you can bet I won't make that mistake again!!!!

Leaving aside the fact that PB&J pizza sounds disgusting, asking the questions and getting wrong answers just makes you want to lock yourself in the house and never leave, doesn't it? I'm finding that I have this reaction with my PA daughter. I have to fight it constantly so that she still has a life. Sorry about your experience!
