I just received this e-mail from Chris Papkee - can anyone post with contact info for this company and help Chris out?
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A manager of a retail company just called to find out if Pandro yellow
tortia chips are safe (any peanut oil or any other problems). They are
triangle shaped, no contact info for company or INGREDIENT LABEL that he
could see.
Could you look into this for me? Even if it is to only find the company
contact info etc. (I will double check anyway what you are told from them so
don't worry about that). Let me know what you find out so I can compare to
what they tell me.
He didn't even know what country they are made in so finding out if the
product is made in more than one place etc. also important. He did not know
if the product was imported or not. He is in the USA.
Just post the info in this thread or e-mail Chris at "Chris@PeanutAllergy.Com" - thanks!
Carolyn
If anyone has time please contact the company and ask if they know if this product is safe or not for someone with a life threatening peanut allergy, that would be helpful. Please post on this thread what you find out (or email or call Chris@PeanutAllergy.Com). They may just be the distributor and we will need to find (and please post) the manufacturer and any contact information you can find for the manufacturer.
Thanks
Click on "Product Catalog", then "Mexican Foods". Pandro Tortilla chips appear about a third of the way down the list.
Contact info for Better Brands, Inc. appears on the initial page. Looks like they distribute a pretty wide variety of products -- but they ought to be able to give you some direction.
Hope it helps!
