DS has PA and has had some what I think it airborne or contact reactions (hives, exzema) is this something he can outgrow? How do you know from one time to the next if they will come have an airborne reaction? can he react 1 time and not the next? I just think if he was one that other people can eat peanuts around him and him not react unless he eats one would make it so much easier.
I do avoid all contact and do not want him around it at all. I was just curious about airborne reactions.

Allergic is allergic plain and simple.
Don't count on outgrowing, it is not that common. Plus if he is exposed to airborne peanut his chances are less he'll outgrow because the exposure makes him build antibodies which cause more reactions.
Act right now as if he is allergic and avoid all ingestion, airborne or touch contact with peanuts.
Be surprised some day down the line if he is tested again and turns up not allergic any more. Be surprised but not disappointed if he is still allergic.
Treating him as if he is allergic is the safest way you can act right now plus he begins to learn the total avoidance that is necessary to stay safe should he end up being allergic forever.
