I love the NC beaches! Of course, I live in NC so I may be biased. I have spent more time in the Wilmington area but have also been to the Outer Banks several times. My PA son has never had a problem. He is also tree nut and shellfish allergic. We are just very careful and ask a lot of questions. We do most of our meals at the houses that we rent.

Here a link to a house in Avon on The Outer Banks. We have stayed there about 3 times. It is very nice and I hear it was redecorated this past summer. It has the great room/kitchen/dining room on the top floor to take advantage of the view. THe website says 4 bedrooms but I think there are at least 5. Great pool built into the deck. Have fun!!
