hi everyone:
I am really feeling that peanut allergy information needs more exposure. How about everyone submitting a show idea for peanut allergies and food allergies. I think if we all submit show topic idea about peanut allergies and let them know the seriousness of the subject it would help get our message out there. I just submitted the idea and I am hoping all of you out there will do the same. All you have to do is get on to "Oprah.com" and click on submit a show idea.
Thanks and good luck!

Dear Tammy:
Thanks for bumping up the Oprah letter. What a great letter. I wish she would send that exact same letter to Oprah's people once a week. Someone on her show would have to fight for that topic. We all need to keep trying to get some exposure. Thanks again.
Just to let you know that i have been sending e-mails to Oprah. sort of feel that we should somehow be determined to get a proper response. How many e-mails do you think she gets each day?
how many do you think would make a difference?
sarah
Yeah I've wondered about that, too. How many of us are going to have to be writing to her for them to get through? I don't care if it's oprah or not, our voice needs to be heard. Maybe calling direct to someone who has a hold on the public's attention would work haha. Anyone else have any ideas?

What is the email address to OPRAH's producers? Thanks
I sent her an e-mail via her www.Oprah.com web site. Once you get into the site it has a place to e-mail her. Good luck.

I would love to see just anything Oprah or not getting the word out about how serious these allergies can be. I want to know that my kids are safe everyday!
Does anyone know if Parents magazine has covered PA issues?
Thank-you! I swear, I was just at the website, and just about to click submit, but I was still unsure. I think this is definately something we need to do. We really need to 'expose' issues regarding PA.

I agree that the word needs to get out seriousness of this type of diagnosis. However with this being Oprah's last season on air (and I must admit I was never a fan) she is only going to do shows that SHE thinks will get her popularity points, not anything to spread the word about serious conditions. She wants to go out "on top" as they say. Not doing anything serious that needs to be said. I hope that there is a way to spread the word to mass population but in all reality I don't believe she is the way to do it.

I did send an e-mail to "Ellen" about food bullying because she is really advocating for the whole Bullying thing lately. She may do a segment on it.

pamom,
Thanks for sending a letter off to Oprah. Several others here have done the same thing - I really hope one of our letters "gets through"!!!
If you do a search, you'll find several posts with people's letters. I bumped one up for you (and everyone) under Living with PA - "I would like everyone to read this and give feedback" - or something close to that. I thought Munchkin's Mom's letter was wonderful, and I've even copied it to give to my son's potential school.
Take care,
Tammy
