Are you sure they're nut-free? I saw one of their plain chocolate bars labeled nut-free, but they also sell turtles, and the turtles clearly have pecans sticking out of them.
Here's the link: http://www.bostontreats.com/cm/turtles.html
Click on the picture to enlarge it and see the pecans I'm talking about.

They also make products containing m&ms.

Maybe they use separate facilities to make and package the nut-free stuff, but it seems unlikely for a small company...

Hello All: Saw this posting and decided to join the group. I am the president of Boston Treats, Inc. ( www.bostontreats.com ) and I am very proud to report that our claim of "Nut Free" chocolate is 100% true & correct. ALL of the chocolate produced and marked from us as "nut free" from our facility is just that! We make all of this product line in a facility that has a unique area. This includes a room that ONLY is allowed to have pure chocolate or verified nut free products inside, everything from the gloves, tools, pop sticks, boxes & packaging etc. EVERYTHING within this HEPA filtered air, temperature & climate controlled room is carefully watched and guarded. We prepare any of the other products we offer in our line that include nuts of any kind > off premises < in another facility/location all together. I know that this sounds strange for a small company to make this claim however we took the matter to do this from day one and know 100% ourselves that this is true and that our products are safe. Non of the equipment or contents within the area this "nut free" line is manufactured has every seen a single nut or peanut item. We take the matter of "nut free" most seriously. My wife and one of my daughters are both school teachers and are very mindfull of the issues and reactions relating to nuts & peanuts with many people these days. We welcome your future comments and suggestions. We are open to considering any item that the "nut free" community has an interest in for addition to our line and hope to be moving forward toward our goal of us being a major player in this specific field of chocolate manufacutring in the years ahead. We also have a business plan on a very wide product lines consisting of "things or foods & favorites" from Boston or the surrounding New England area to be posted and offered on our webb sight. Anyone from the medical field that wishes a sample of our "nut free" products is welcome to inquire for a free sample for review, testing and comment at any time. Sincerely, Bryan Muphy, President - Boston Treats, Inc.

I just want to thank you, Bryan, for taking the time to post here and for the wonderful efforts you have made to ensure that your products are nut free! Wish there were more companies like yours.

I'm wondering if you sell your products in the Chicago area. Also, are they Kosher certified? Thanks again.

Bostoncandyman -- I just checked out your website and you sell peanut butter cups -- so are you "nut-free" but not peanut-free????
