Hello,

I don't know if I'm posting in the right area. I just keep thinking how nice it would be to have a Nut Free Bakery for my son and others here in IL. Does anyone know the costs to start a business like this, how one sets up a business plan to do so, and figure out the demand for one? I would love to start one, but have no business knowledge.

At this point, I doubt that there is enough of a demand. Some people have started businesses baking in their home and then when the business grew, moved to another site.

I would recommend that you start small. Try the
Small Business Administration (SBA) for info on starting up a business. Your library will also have books about starting a business. Food has special laws that applies - labeling, etc. Ask someone in the business about that.
