does anyone have a lotion brand to recommend? I called Aveeno (J&J) this week and was so unhappy to find that they have peanut oil in the plant and on the equipment. Also, Eucerin has the same and can't guarantee the safety of their products.
What do you use? I have used Curel in the past, but am worried about shea. I bought some Vaseline lotion yesterday that says it's hypoallergenic, but have not called the manufacturer yet. What is safe lotion to use for PA? My hands are so cracked and sore from washing and it's very cold here.
I have used Eucerin cream (original) on my PA child with out problems. I think I called when I first found out but haven't called in a long time. Also Aquaphor, was another brand we used.
There is some ingredient in Vaseline that I don't trust but can't remember what it is and don't have one handy to look.
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

We use vanicream. It has to be bought at the pharmacy but it is not a prescription.

I just called and the Customer Service Representative said there is no peanut oil (or treenut oil) in the Aveeno Lotion and if it was even made in the same place as products that contained these oils, it would say on the bottle and at the very least in her computer system. I have called before and was told pretty much the same thing.
Some Aveeno products contain nuts--don't remember if it was walnuts or almonds. We use Vanicream for our kids with peanut and tree nut allergies. You can order online (just google vanicream--I think I once bought it from Amazon.com, also). It has a really nice texture/quality, and when used after the bath, did a great job in keeping mild eczema under control.

I cannot recommend a specific product, but I came across a website, Upurea.com, based out of Toronto. They have info on their website indicating whether or not a product contains peanuts, if it's vegan; more info than the average package. You might be able to find something there...
