I saw an advertisement today for a new steroid-free eczema treatment (unfortunately, it doesn't give the name of the product). It is manufactured by Fujisawa Healthcare, Inc. and a phone # (no website) is provided to receive further info. Phone # is 1-888-441-2442, and apparently a free video, titled Inside Eczema, is included with the info you receive.
Has anyone been made aware of this new treatment by their health professionals? The ad is in a U.S. magazine, so I'm not sure if the phone # works from Canada, and I'm also unsure if it's been approved for import by Health Canada. Sounds promising, though. The main concern with steroids is side-effects, which makes them less than ideal for long term treatment.
There is also a new one called Triceram (http://www.Triceram.com) that does NOT contain peanut oil. I haven't gotten it yet - I assume it must be pretty pricey since it is sold at Saks Fifth Ave., Nordstroms and Bloomingdales! When I find out more about it, I'll post. My hands are so cracked and bloody right now, I'd try just about anything! (Except the stuff with the peanut oil, of course .)

Check all the ingredients very carefully. I heard there was a new eczema medication that contained peanut oil! I understand it is listed under another name, perhaps arachis. Im pretty sure I read it from a link I got from this site.
one site - allergyfacts.org.au/alert.htm lists "Hydromol" as an eczema med. containing peanut.
