I got the idea for this from another link that was here and thought I'd try my hand at doing some posters. I would love to get some ideas for more and will be adding tons more "stuff" to the page real soon : )

Love these posters!!!
I printed all of them and plan to laminate and give to school.
Would you consider making one that says
"This is a peanut/nut free home" Our son loves Bob the Builder and characters from Nicholodeon,as do other kids...simple is great, but the characters really add a lot of attention. I hung one in our pantry and one on our frig. Thanks so much.
Thought of something else..Blue with the cork board could just be altered in another version replacing classroom with home.??just a thought...thx
Great job with the posters! I would love to see one for older school age kids.
I would also love to see one that is a blackboard/chalk board that has blank lines for example,
Ms. teacher's name class
Room XXX
is peanut free
Please do not bring any food that contains peanuts or peanut butter to this class
Thank you for your cooperation!
I would love to have one to send home along with a letter to each student/family in my son's class.
Thank you for all your work!

Neighborgal: Excellent work!! I appreciate your sharing these posters with us and I just printed them out. I can't wait to bring them to my childs preschool. I think the above suggestion from Cindia for making a poster to send home to the parents would be great and would really catch their attention. I look forward to your additions to the site, again, Thank You!
Just finished the chalkboard one and the Bob the Builder one. I found a picture of Bob the Builder but did not have a colored picture of him... so I made one that a child could color. I thought that would look cuter and save a bundle on colored ink Keep the ideas coming! Valerie,
YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicholas saw this one with 'BOB' this a.m. and fell in love with it. It will be at preschool today. Thanks so much for going at it so quickly. Bless your day and we surely appreciate your talents.
Thanks again Valerie!! My son loves Bob The Builder!! Keep up the great work!
How about a Bob The Builder "This is a peanut/nut free classroom" ??
Also, just a suggestion: at our preschool we have arranged that the children drop their lunches into a basket at the door, and the lunches are brought back later; so we have a sign that says "Stop! please put lunches in basket, no lunches past this point" (with an arrow pointing down. Maybe something like this for schools would be helpful. Let me know what you think...thanks!!!!
Good job NEIGHBORGAL. I love the posters! Great idea! Thanks for sharing it with us.

My child's teacher loved the posters. I am heading off to have some of them laminated.
My husband suggested that it is a good idea to change the posters in the classrooms every so often so people continue to "see" them. As part of the safety procedures at his company, they change the signs every few months (different background color, font change, design changes) so people remain aware of them.
Thanks for the chalk board one!
I would love to have one in Spanish too. But, I'm afraid I would be of no help with the translation.
Thanks for all your hard work!

SF,
Just got the two that you suggested on the page : ) Hope these are what you had in mind : )
Cindia,
If I can find someone to translate for me I'd be glad to do some in Spanish - that is a wonderful idea! I know in the area that we live in there is a lot of Spanish children in our schools and I'm sure its that way all over. I spent a summer in Chile but my Spanish wasn't very good even then I have some friends that I'm sure will translate for me the next time I see them
If anyone has any more ideas just give a holler
Valerie
Valerie, I can't thank you enough! They are perfect! Thanks for helping me keep my preschool class peanut/nut free. I hope that everyone on pa.com sees your site and uses the posters to help spread the word. Thanks again for your time and creativity,SF
Thank you very much for your hard work. I gave a couple to my PA son's first grade class and also to his former kindergarten teacher who currently has 2 PA students in her classroom. They were both appreciative.
Did someone say they wanted to do these in Spanish? A very good friend of mine translated them for you!
English:
1 - No nuts for me!
2 - Fatal allergy to nuts! Please DO NOT feed me!
3 - This is a nut-free classroom!

6 - No nuts/peanuts allowed in this room! This is Timmy's
bedroom.
7 - Room #1 is a peanut/nut-free classroom.

Dear Valerie and Teacher,
This is so incredible, all I can say is thank you, thank you!

Teacher,
Thank you so much for doing this for me! It is greatly appreciated!
It will probably be at least Monday before I can get to it as my PA son's birthday is tomorrow I can't believe Timmy is going to be 6 tomorrow! Time sure flies!
I'm so glad that these are being used!
Another question... should I do separate Spanish ones or should I do English/Spanish ones on the same poster?
Thanks Again!
Valerie
I was thinking that I would just print out English on one side of the paper and Spanish on the other to send home with the children.
Maybe having both English and Spanish on one poster would make it seem too busy and people would be less inclined to read it.

Just wanted to let you all know that I have finally started on the Spanish posters.
I am willing to do special posters to order with your child's picture or whatever you would like on it. There will be a small $5 fee (sent to Chris for the PA website) for the one's with a photo on it... any others that I can put on the website for others to use are free.
Hope this helps

Just wanted to let you all know that there are 6 new PA posters on the website http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/peanutallergy/
(3 of them are Scooby Doo for your little fans )
Take Care,
Valerie
Valerie, thanks for the new Scooby posters!
I use these often and I am planning to use some new ones for camp this summer and school in September!
I would love to see something that says STOP! No Food Past This Point! (with the stop sign at the top) and an arrow...
Preschoolers often walk into class while finishing their breakfast and this would help to remind the parents of our classroom rules.
How about a Scooby poster that says this is a peanut/nut free classroom?
Again, thank you for all of the work you have done and for sharing them with us!

Fran and SF,
Your welcome
SF- I have done the 2 that you requested and they are up on the website. If these are not what you had in mind just let me know. There are now 24 PA posters up... if anyone else has anything specific they want just let me know and I'll try to get it done.
Take Care,
Valerie
Sending hugs your way Valerie!! My son LOVES the new posters and we are having them laminated for use in camp and school this September.
Thanks, you are amazing!
Valerie,
My Nicholas LOVES these new posters!!!!!!
We are printing them as we speak for his room, his kindergarten class and his little friend that has PA. Many thanks.
Just thought I'd bring this up since school is now starting for everyone.
If there is anything new that you need let me know.
I'm teaching 11 and 12th grade yearbook and 9th grade computer at my children's school this year in the afternoon and enjoying it
Take Care,
Valerie
Thank you so much for the posters. I met with my son's first grade teacher, the music, art and PE teachers and the librarian the day before Open House at our school. They all were very impressed with the posters! My son's teacher laminated them right away and had one hanging outside the classroom door when all of the parents came the next day for Open House. I know a sign would not have been posted that quickly without your ready-made ones. Thank you so much! So many peanut allergic children have benefited from your great idea and artistic talents!
I was in this section to check a couple of other older threads and came up with this thread when I did a search. I thought it couldn't hurt to re-raise it.
Best wishes!

Re Raising... does anyone have any ideas for some new posters? I'm going to be working on some new ones in the next couple of weeks. I was also thinking about putting the 504 information on a page on the website. Maybe a way to put it all together in one place?? What do you all think? Anything else that you would like to see on the website? All ideas are appreciated!
Thanks,
Valerie
Valerie, these are wonderful. I was thinking of making one for my son to put on his door at college. I'm not too sure how it will go over but want to make it available to him should he like the idea.
Maybe you could make one that says
NO PEANUTS IN THIS ROOM
or something like that. For an adult really. Not too cutesy, just the facts.
I was thinking of a Mr. Peanut logo with the circle and line over him.
Thanks so much.

Can you do a poster that says "Thanks for remembering this is a Peanut/Nut Free School" (with the stop sign & peanuts with the circle and line thru it) to be put in the cafeteria & front entrances of our school? That would be great.
Also, could one be done for the school bus with similar wording. Thanks if these posters can be added to the great collection.
What a GREAT website! I just printed off 5 of your posters-for our house, my daughters bedroom, and a few for her peanut-free school. Thank you for taking the time to make these wonderful posters!

I'm sorry that it has taken me sooooo long, but I finally got them done. There are now 28 PA posters! I also started another page for different severe allergies (there is a link on the bottom of the posters page). So far I just have 2- one for cats and one for fish.
I'd be happy to take more requests if there is anything you would like to see there.

Valerie

Valerie,
I have a request for a sign, which I've been unable to find anywhere.
Here's the brief background on the situation: Our elementary school will be peanut and tree nut free for all Kindergarten classes (signage for those rooms is easy).
The rest of the school will embark on an educational process, including PAL program, and a separate letter will be sent to parents REQUESTING that they NOT send peanut and tree nut products to school in order to provide a safe community.
So, for the rest of the campus, it would be good to have a sign indicating that the school is "food allergy aware" and something like "please don't bring peanut or tree nut products on site".
I will think about desired language and post it soon.
I think this type of sign/poster would be really helpful for schools or portions of school sites that engage in risk reduction policies.
