Hi Everyone,
I've been reading your posts for about a month and decided it is time to introduce myself. My 18 month old daughter was recently diagnosed with a peanut allergy. I guess it is a class 4 but I don't really know what that means yet. The allergist basically said it means nothing. Her blood test also came back with just the slightest allergy to egg white and soy, but nobody seems concerned about those. I have had many of the same experiences as it seems most of you have: I'm scared to death, am dealing with many people who don't get it, and am happy to have found this board. Well, I have tons of questions still so I am going to go read some posts and probably ask a couple questions.
Good luck to you all as you deal with this problem every day.
Nicole
Sounds like we are in the same boat - my 2 year old son was diagnosed 2 months ago and I just happened upon this site -- I have done a lot of reading - and have learned more here than from my doctor. I am glad there is a place to hash out the concerns and I am sure you are too. Good Luck.

Welcome, you're lucky to have found this site quickly, I just found it a month ago also. We have been dealing with our sons PA for over 7 years without any kind of support system, and it is such a relief to find one. Good luck to you as you take on the role of educator and advocate, be loud and strong.
