I recently found this great site, and have been avidly reading all of the old threads. I was dismayed to find that many seem to feel Duncan Hines cake mixes are unsafe - that is what I have used exclusively for my PA son all these years! I do see allergen warnings on their packaging (for wheat, etc. not nuts) so I always considered them safe. Lots of posters here seem to use Betty Crocker - but I hate mixes that have pudding in them, and I haven't seen any BC mixes without it (that's the main reason I always stuck with DH.) Does BC or Pillsbury make any mixes without pudding?

Hi,

I have used Duncan Hines. Mostly looking in my cabinet it's Betty Crocker and a pillsbury.

I get a little funny when I buy anything chocolate. If I do I just stick with the plain not the triple chunk or white and milk mixed, stuff like that I'm just not to comfotable with.

I buy occasionally pillsbury waffles.

Don't think I helped to much, but if you have been using something for so long and have had no reactions, call the company to make yourself feel comfortable with it's labeling policy, after Betty Crocker's recall last month or so I am starting to think anything can happen with anyone. Unfortunately.

But it is you that has to feel comfortable with the product. I use Betty Crocker mostly, all the cake mixes I have in the house right now say have pudding in it.

Good luck
