I've been reading some old posts on the medic alert bracelets and am still undecided as to what to get. I think DS would like the sport band better (he's 2) b/c he would think it's more like a watch than a bracelet (he always wants to wear daddy's watch)...BUT can those be made to fit a 2 year old AND can they get wet, or do they have to be removed for baths? What about washing hands and it accidentally gets wet?
Thanks for any advice...I need to get on the ball and get this ordered.

Call medic alert and talk to them about it.

They'll set you straight on ALL accounts.

Kids under 2 have had them, fine and dandy.

Caitlin was 4 1/2 when she got her sportsband one. She likes it. She picked it out herself (purple music notes)

They help with the verbage on the back too.

And if you have a FSA thru work, its reimburseable.

Jason,
Thanks for the FSA heads up! We do have one but I never even thought about it for this.

Hi,

The first Medic Alert bracelet I bought for DS (he was 2) was the sport band. He would wear it for a while (10 minutes) then take it off. I had to switch to the chain link bracelet, which he adjusted too pretty quickly. The sport bands can get wet but it probably isn't a good idea, they take a while to dry, and they wouldn't last long.
