Protein shake cross contamination
My son has a severe peanut allergy and had an anaphylactic reaction recently. He drank a protein shake that had no nuts on list but said allergy warning for soy. Bloodwork says low soy sensitivity so allergist gave skin test to try to confirm and he comes up as NOT allergic to the soy that we thought caused his throat to close. Now back to my original thought-that peanut is in this Bolthouse Farms chocolate protein shake. I haven't been able to find a lab locally that will test a product from an individual. Anyone have any experience with this product or with privately trying to test a product for cross contamination ? Thanks, Pete
