Welcome to the boards!! Go to Main Discussion Board and click on "Unusual or Unexpected sources of Peanuts" It will take you a while to get through it but a couple of PA parents condensed the list very nicely. Also if you contact the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network www.foodallergy.org you can purchase a wallet size card that has a list of what foods to avoid that have peanut. Also ask everywhere you go how the food has been prepared not only what is in it. There can always be a risk of cross-contamination. My sons only reaction to pb was wicked facial, eye and hand angioedema that lasted 3 days and he was on cortisone for a week. He ate a jelly sandwich that was cross contaminated. So only asking what is in a food is not enough. My son is now 9 and we have been dealing with this for over 7 years (since diagnosis never ate pb Dr. just decided to test him since he was so sick and covered with eczema lots of allergies) He has been reaction free for 5 years. Must keep up the diligence. In time it becomes second nature.
Also type in search to see if there is another thread that I'm not aware of. Also Dr. Michael Youngs' book The Peanut Allergy Answer Book has a list of foods that commonly contain peanut. Good Luck!! B-well Fran

I doubt very much that you will find a complete list of food to avoid. In fact ingredients changed periodically, so you will have to READ very carefully (every time) the ingredients listed on the packaging. Has yur child been to an allergist and dietician?? Do you have an epi-pen jr.?? If your child had and allergic reaction to peanuts (how ever severe or mild the reaction was ) they NEED to carry an epi pen. Repeated exposures to the allergen create bigger and more severe reactions. Be very careful to avoid peanuts.
Good Luck.
