my friend has a son with a dairy protien allergy. Does anyone have any dairy free recipes? also what are all the 'hidden' names for anything dairy?
Use your favorite standard recipe and just make certain that the margarine and yeast you are using is completely dairy-free. (You can substitute margarine for butter 1:1 in nearly any recipe that calls for butter.) You also do not need to use milk in baking- just use fruit juice or even water instead.
(But add a touch of oil or margarine if you are reducing the fat content by eliminating the milk.)
I just love that *smell* in the house!
I found this when doing a search for allergy free recipes:

You can get TONS of awesome recipes from FAAN www.foodallergy.org
They have great recipes in their cookbooks. I have made tons of them. Also somewhere on this website there is an awesome recipe for cinnamon buns that are made overnight----not sure where it is now but you can use soy margarine instead of dairy based butter/margarine and then i skipped the vanilla pudding packet and i made the dough from scratch using a breadmaker and they were AWESOME. maybe run a search on the word cinnamon or cinnamon buns and it should pop up.
