Teaching Other Children About Dangers of Peanut Allergy

Hello! My child has a severe peanut allergy and will be in first grade in the fall. I was thinking for this upcoming school year that I could suggest to her first grade teacher to do an educational lesson about food allergies, so that other kids could be aware of her allergy. Have any of you done something like this?

Yes, get the book: Allie the Allergic Elephant and have her read it to the class. I did that with my daughter.
