lipstick

I saw a makeup post but it did not really answer my question.
Is there any totally safe lipstick? I used to use a couple different kinds, however the specific colors or lines seem to have been discontinuted and I no longer can find ingredients anywhere. I don't trust companies to stay the same, so I'm afraid to get more. I never buy expensive makeup, since it seems to me as though they are more frequently using fancy oils and what not. I'm allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. ANy help?
I've been successful at finding plenty of other makeup I don't react to, but the lipstick, since it goes on the mouth duh, is my biggest concern.

my dtr is pa and i am always smooching the poor kid! she says enuf kisses mom!! i use mary kay lipstick in the color raisinberry it goes with everything and is a great color and is perfectly safe from pa. a little more expensive but i have really good luck with it.

I emailed Maybelline regarding this issue and they assured me that their lipstick contains no peanut products and that I can check ingredients at all of their displays. I have been using it for about a year and feel comfortable with the brand.

Thank you guys for your help

Sidni,
I use CoverGirl lipstick. I am in the USA (East Coast) and buy it at CVS. The ingredients are on the package. I wouldn't use it otherwise. And I check every time.
