I often eat Kraft Delissio frozen pizzas.. I really like them, especially the spicy chicken with peppers.

However, there is a new "healthy" version of Delissio pizzas that has appeared in the grocery stores called Delissio "Balance".. it is a smaller size pizza. In the ingredient list in red letters is a warning that it may contain peanuts.

Thought I'd let you all know that even thought the regular Delissio is safe, watch out for the small size "Balance" pizzas.

A reminder that just because Delissio pizzas are safe, you always need to read the labels as I do to be safe. I will continue to eat the regular Delissio but I will skip the "Balance" Delissio.

note- I am in Canada, but the pizzas have 'made in the USA' on the packaging so they are probably unsafe in both countries

Darnit (stronger word really required), erik! Did you call Kraft to confirm that the other line is still safe or you trust their labeling (I tend to trust Kraft's labeling).

I know that one is supposed to check labels on everything one buys, but there are some things that I just give a quick glance to before putting in my cart - like Kraft Delissio pizza!

I know that if I was buying a *new* kind, I would check the label, but still.

Bloody he**!

What are they, everywhere?

(Oh, on a separate note, I have seen the cans of tuna - Cloverleaf - and the ones that are unsafe are one heckuva lot smaller than the regular size tins of tuna).

Sobey's has one pizza on sale this week I was planning to run down and buy and I'll see if I can check out this one as well.

But still. I throw my hands up in the air and take to my bed once again.

Best wishes!

Hi Cindy,

I trust the Kraft labelling. Since the "Balance" Delissio is a healthy choice pizza it is likely made in a different environment than the regular Delissio. There must be some type of peanut product in the manufacturing area of those pizzas.

I did not contact Kraft as I trust the labelling. If the regular Delissio was unsafe I am certain Kraft Canada would add a warning (as they are doing with the 'Balance' Delissio pizza). I notice Kraft has good labelling. I noticed at IKEA that the Kraft Marabou chocolate bars had very good labelling (all varieties have nut allergy alerts on them) so Kraft seems safe to me regarding labelling.

I will continue to eat the regular Kraft Delissio pizzas.

erik, thank-you. I'll continue to purchase them as well - I alter between the Kraft and McCain ones. I know you eat the Dr. Oetker ones but the kids don't like the thinness of them (I really enjoyed them). No, I trust their labeling as well.

Best wishes!

erik, I saw these to-day when buying the McCain pizza on sale at Sobey's. I have to say the labeling is excellent. I made sure to point them out to Jess. They're a much smaller and more expensive pizza (have to say some of the toppings looked yummy), so at least there's no confusing the two.

Really glad you posted this, thank-you.
