My son has been having mystery hives the past 2 days. Trying to pinpoint. He played with some children who may have eaten something. I thought about insect bites but his hives go away and then he gets another one. Not bad, not many. I gave him Benadryl yesterday and today he woke up with 2 hives on his wrist.

I called John Frieda because I just started using this product and asked about fragrance. They told me there could be tree nuts in the fragrance. They cannot guarantee the safety of any of their products because they do use tree nuts for some frangrance and suggest if there is a concern about allergies not to use it.

Needless to say, I will not be using it anymore and I believe it may be causing the hives.

I also called Parmalot about the Lil' Milks. My son drinks the chocolate ones and they told me the person is charge is very careful about nuts because he has a child who is allergic to peanuts. There are no peanuts/tree nuts in their facility. They are very strict about it. I will be posting this separately also.

I don't think it is viral because it was only a couple of pink flat marks on his neck and one hive on his arm. About the level where my hair would touch him when I'm strapping him into his car seat. Also the next day he hugged me (with his arms around my head) and had 2 hives on his wrist. The ones on his wrist could be bite marks too, but the hives went down, usually bite marks stay longer.

No other symptoms. Not enough hives for me to think viral. Can you get just a couple of hives with a viral infection? I think it was a contact reaction. I'm not really sure though.

It also could have been from the kids he was playing with.

I've stopped using the product and no more hives. Could be coinsidence but I just threw out the product. I can't handle the stress.
