Hi all,
I saw Jelly Belly Lip Balm (in a tube like Chapstick) today in a store for the first time. I know Jelly Belly jelly beans are not safe for the peanut allergic folks and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this Lip Balm and inquired about it being safe. I read the ingredients on the package and it did not mention peanuts and this company is wonderful about labeling their products.
I plan on emailing Jelly Belly to make sure this product is safe and will post their reply.

Thank you, Cindy, for re-raising this thread.
I went to their website but couldn't access their contact link so I called their 800 # and left a message with the consumer department. As soon as I hear back from them, I will post their reply.

I just received a call from Jelly Belly and they were so gracious...Jelly Belly lip balm is manufactured by a company called "Lotta Love" and the rep who called me back talked to the President of this company and there is no peanut products in the lip balm.
When I mentioned to the rep how much I appreciate Jelly Belly's labeling due to their peanut butter jelly bean, she said to me along the lines of "yeah, you don't want to mess around with a peanut allergy" or something along those lines and her whole demeanor on the phone was just wonderful! I started laughing with her on the phone because I thought she probably thought I was nuts (no pun intended) because I was calling for a boy in regards to their lip balm. I went on to explain that I wanted to let people with peanut allergic daughters as well know if their lip balm was safe. The rep laughed and said well, it's just like chap stick and boys use it as well! She was just so pleasant to talk with.
Anywho...there's my 10 minute safety reply. LOL!

Man, is the board ever moving fast these days. When I click on Daily Topics and find over 40, I know I'm in trouble. Things are moving so quickly though people aren't getting answers. It must be this horrible winter us Canadians are having, I don't know.
Jazz It Up, hope this helps.
And now, I'm off to bed.
