Introducing myself

Just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I just found out on Friday that our 20 month old is severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts (and oils made therefrom, etc.). I searched for resources for peanut allergy sufferers and found this website. I'm looking forward to the info and help this website looks to offer.

Welcome Melissa! Sorry about the diagnoses, it can all be so overwhelming at first to say the least. This site is a tremendous source of information and there are plenty of wonderful people here to help with any questions you might have.

Hi Melissa,
Sorry for the diagnosis. I really is heartbreaking. There is so much great info I am sure you will learn alot. My son is 8 and is doing ok with it. We have had 1 pretty big reaction a couple of years a ago and he has had some minor reactions over the years.. but we are careful and always prepared. Life goes on.... *sigh* We just have to plan ahead for everything.
